One of the most iconic roman architecture which most people recognize and relate to Rome as soon as they see it. Colosseum also known as the Flavius Amphitheater is not round, but actually it is oval. It was the place for entertainment in the ancient world much like the stadium of now a days.
As usual such stages were used to execute prisoners, have gladiatorial matches, animal hunts, even have ship battles and much more. Almost seven hundred thousand people died for entertainment in Colosseum.
